Platform Change

So we have been running for 1 year on a windows platform, we are now thinking of changing to a NUC and Debian from a PC, two issues, when I build the Debian platform after it is built and I remove the usb drive used to install the unit wont boot, you have to put in the usb stick used to build then it will boot. Followed the install instructions to the letter so very confused.

When built and the backup applied, all the users are there etc but no phones, we only have three, does the backup not provision these or do I have to do something, other than reinstalling them of course.

Make sure you're installing it to the NUC storage and not the USB.

NUC must be on the same IP as where you're restoring from.

Before you do anything, you need to resolve the issue why it does not boot from the internal storage. This will probably cause issues down the line

Check bios boot options

As above, the machine needs to the same ip address as the previous server

No problem with the ip address, I don't get why it is doing this, the bios is set to boot from the internal ssd so you build it and all looks great, log in and setup the backup, remove the drive used to build an then it wont boot, put in the drive used to build and it boots into debian and launches 3cx which works, it seems to have put the boot partition on the build drive?
