First of all, I understand that "This Forum" is not the "Web Client". If there's a better place to place my request, just point me to it.
For a long time now, I've been annoyed by the fact that I have to disable dark mode - also known as night mode - in order to be able to read anything in the forum.
I'm not talking about a fancy feature just the plain dark mode that is built-in into every Chromium-based browser nowadays. Thus, I'd really appreciate if you could adjust the layout accordingly and I'm sure I'm not the only one with dark mode and dark themes becoming increasingly popular being much easier on the eyes.
This is what it looks like with dark mode enabled - a lot of white on light gray:
Apparently the dark mode algorithm gets confused by the background pattern and misjudges the contrast.
As a quick workaround users can add these too filter rules to UBlock Origin to block the background GIFs and make the forum readable:
