We are running 3CX Enterprise v16.0.493 with Polycom VVX 410 (firmware v5.6.0.17325).

When pressing the DND softkey on the device the line keys change to show the "no entry" sign indicating that DND is enabled. However on checking the 3CX server/Windows or Web Client the status is still set to Available.

Testing shows that the system thinks the user is Available but the handset is "busy" and follows the Call Forwarding rules set for the "Available" status when "If I am busy or my phone is unregistered, forward calls to".

Conversely if we use the receptionist console to change the status of the Polycom user from Available to Do Not Disturb it is not reflected on the handset, e.g. Line Keys still show green. The system then does obey the Call Forwarding rules for the "Do Not Disturb" status.

I'm sure I have had this working before but now I'm starting to doubt myself. I have tried upgrading the Polycom firmware to the very latest version, factory resetting the Polycom all with no success and the device is running a default configuration template.

We've got a number of sites that we are wanting to move to 3CX that have Polycom handsets but this will probably be a barrier. I've seen on the 3CX site that this is a legacy handset and one of the limitations state "No Speed Dial (including Profile and Queue status) or Shared Parking function keys" but is that the same thing?

Any other Polcom VVX users out there with similar experience or fixes?

Thanks all!

AFAIK, Polycom VVX are legacy support. It probably doesn't support uaCSTA so the status isn't updated.

In this case, I recommend using the Webclient to change status to make sure the PBX knows about the DND.

Any reasons why VVX are installed? Beside being previous system's phones (possibly).

Thanks for that. Only reason is we have a large client base with 2-3 year old Polycoms which are in reasonable condition. I do some research on uaCSTA and see what I can find. A very quick look seems to hint it can be enabled on VVX firmware 5.8+

It might be supported on the phone but 3CX might not support it at all.
