Unsupported Polycom VVX450 - local multicast paging no longer working after recent firmware push

On 6/9 I logged into my dashboard and saw that there was a firmware update available for my Polycom VVX 450 phones going from 6.4.1.2280 to 6.4.3.5018. I had multicast paging setup locally on these phones before the update and immediately after all multicast paging stopped working. In some cases, the initial beep would come through and then immediately end the page but in most cases, nothing happened at all. I ended up having to replace the quick multicast setup I had going with the much slower and cumbersome SIP paging through 3CX.

Since this seems to be firmware related I'm not planning to get much help here but I thought I would still post on the off chance that there is something I can do to get it working again or hear from someone who has encountered this.

Could there have been a template change that is rendering my local multicast paging inoperable?

FWIW I tried a manual multicast with both firmware versions and did not receive it, but you might have better luck if you downgrade the device and try again since you already had it running.

It might be worth reporting it to Polycom though, contact them directly and they will be in a better position to assist you on this matter.
