Sony Z3 with Android 4.4.4
Connects but does not show the phonebook or the presence

Sony Z3 with Android 4.4.4
Connects but does not show the phonebook or the presence

IPhone 5
Connects but does not show the phonebook or the presence

I await help
Thank you

Are these phone being used on the local LAN, or remotely?

Hello

My server has an real fixed ip address and my phones work on 4G or wifi remotly.

Thanks

And this is happening on both 3/4G and wifi?

Does it work, on the same phones, internally (local LAN)?

If so, I'm assuming that the correct port for presence is forwarded, 5000 or 5001.

I am on an iPhone 6+ from T-Mobile and can get presence/contacts both on 4G and WiFi outside of the office.

Single NIC Card, Outbound NAT - private address to public IP, Inbound Port Forwarding - Public IP to private address.

I didn't have much luck with presence/contacts when we tried SSL (HTTPS) - and are now just HTTP since I changed server hardware recently.

On IPhone 5 32Gb dont work.

Can't speak (from experience about the iPhone as i don't use it), but with the Sony's, it may be the Android version, although 4.4.4 has been out awhile...or it may be the phones themselves (coincidence that it is happening on two Sony phones?). That could break down to an option (default?) that is preventing Presence from working, an add-on placed on the phone by a Provider, or an App that is running.

You could try stopping any Apps that have been added to the phone since it's acquisition as most that come with the phone will restart automatically, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Perhaps someone , using the same phone/same android release, can comment.
