Hallo liebes Forum,

First off, could you please provide the relevant information mentioned here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/information-to-provide-when-requesting-help.67558/

Also, what do you mean exactly when you say that the DECT devices occasionally do not ring? Firs of all, do you mean 8 handsets configured on the same DECT device or 8 different DECT devices with their own handsets?

In addition, when making a call to that ring group:
• do none of the handsets not ring at all?
• do only some ring? If yes, is it always the same ones?
• does the issue only occur when ringing the

Please also be informed that these are our international forums so, if possible, we'd appreciate it if you could post in English :)

Alternatively, you could post in our German forums too should you prefer to post in your own language: https://www.3cx.com/community/link-forums/deutsches-forum.49/

Hi,

sorry i thought i was in the german forum for whatever reason,

  • 3CX Version, Pro Annual 16 newest version
  • Server OS, Debian 10 Raspberry Pi
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware 1xYealink T57W 1x Yealink W60B 8x W56H
  • Provisioning Method: Local / VPN / STUN / SBC, Local
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model, Telekom Call and Surf
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES / NO , YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES / NO , No
In addition, when making a call to that ring group:
• do none of the handsets not ring at all? Some of the Phones ring sometimes, and other times they dont
• do only some ring? If yes, is it always the same ones? its not always the same ones, its different ones every time
• does the issue only occur when ringing the, this occurs always

oh and yes its 1x DECT Base and 8 Handsets

Best regards,

Sergey

Have you happened to notice if its always a specific number of handsets that ring at a time? Not necessarily the same extensions.

Basically, each Handset has its own extension and it only rings or should only ring when that extension is called, be that via ringgroup or directly.

@sergeygruzdov

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant, provided that the issue only occurs when you call the ring group, does only a specific number of handsets ring?

So for instance, let's say you have 8 handsets with extension numbers 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 and 108. If you call the ring group, do only 4 of them ring each time?(1st call: 101,103,106,107 - 2nd call: 101,102,107,108 and so on)

If this is the case, access the DECT's web UI, navigate to "Features >> General Information", scroll down to the end and change the "Number of Active Handsets" from 4 to 8, apply the settings and try again.

Let me know what happens.

Yeah actually, i think that is the case. I tried to change it to 8 but it won't let me apply the changes and on every reboot it reprovisions the DECT Base. I tried finding the "phone" template for this and edit the nessesary parameters but couldn't find it anywhere (couldn't find the .xml or .cfg file to change it in). Any tips?

We actually do not set that parameter with the default template so it should not get affected by reprovisioning. I have just tested it too to confirm.

Just to clarify, this is the setting you are changing correct?

Note: Do make sure that you are running 3CX v16.0.8.9, there are no more available IP Phone template updates to install and that the device is running the latest 3CX Supported firmware.

Hi, yeah it works now, thanks for the tip! Kind of silly that its set to 4 by default or is there a reason for that? Now every phone rings simultaniously as it should. Yeah its running the latest supported firmware since we always provision the phones according to the 3CX guide. Thanks again!

This would actually be a question for yealink as we don't even set it in the template so I can't confirm why.

Glad to hear! Please do feel free to start a new thread should you need anything else!
