Information for 3CX community members

Specific case :

- Yealink T33G
- EHS35 connector
- Yealink Headset WH6x

We encountered a big problem in a deployment.
Headsets stopped working after exiting version 124.85.0.10
At the time of this writing, the version offered on the 3CX site is: 124.86.0.35

My team opened a case with Yealink and 3CX (tickets)

3CX support team quickly positioned themselves as "Accessories connected to phones are not supported".
Although the problem clearly lies in the firmware of the phone.

Yealink support team them, recognized the problem and sent to my team a corrected version of the firmware.

EDIT : [Download link has been removed by me following comment from JohnS_3CX]
> If you want to have this version, please contact me by private message, I will tell you how to get it from Yealink <

Version : 124.86.0.41.rom for T3x phone serie.
This Version is not available to the general public.
Obviously, this firmware is not supported by 3CX but fixes bugs related to Yealink's EHS35.

All 3CX should do is report back to the team validating the interop tests .. information to require Yealink to correct this issue on the 3CX Firmware versions.

But as 3CX puts it so well (rephrase in my own words);
"Hello,
Thanks for contacting 3CX technical support.
Please note that we have found a reason not to support you in this matter, so I will not help you."
3CX partners will undoubtedly understand what I am referring to.

Hi @bravad

Indeed we do not provide support for issues related to accessories connected to the phones.

You followed the correct path contacting Yealink in this case.

Hopefully they will include the fix in an official firmware update, so that everyone using 3CX can also benefit.

We kindly request that you do not post links to firmware that is not hosted by a Yealink server though, if anyone wants to use unsupported firmware I think it is safer if they request it directly from the manufacturer, knowing and taking the responsibility themselves.

PS: Manufacturers may give out links to beta-test roms or unofficial roms that have not been fully interop tested and this could cause problems to anyone who inadvertently installs them.
