Problems Restoring Backup

Hi all,

I have an install that I've had to do a reinstall on, and only realised after the fact that it was running 16.0.5.612, instead of 16.0.5.610

I've done a clean Debian install, but it now only updates as far as *.610, and I've been unable to properly do a restore, as the backup is newer than the new install. I've tried extracting the backup, changing the header in the xml and re-compressing, and it works to a point, but missing a lot of config. Has anyone been in this scenario, and have any tips?

The original install is unfortunately no longer available.

Are you running the 3CX Debian ISO for your install and selecting you backup to restore during the set up process? Does the machine have an internet connection and you've followed this guide https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/installing-debian-linux-pbx/

Hi,

If you are reinstalling, you can delete the VM and start fresh. Our Debian ISO as note above by @kieferschild will install .612 for you by default if this is a new installation.

In this case, your backup will be accepted and it will proceed.
