Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if there is a better way for me to set up new instances of 3CX Hosted. Let me explain my current process.
  • Purchase 3CX license from my 3CX reseller
  • Install 3CX locally on a Windows machine
  • Enter the 3CX license file that I purchased from my reseller during setup
  • After 3CX is set up, I login to my client portal at customer.3cx.com and then I choose the instance in question and I do "switch to hosted"
Is there a way I can just go right to setting up a 3CX dedicated instance with a license without first setting it up locally on my machine and then migrating it to online hosting? Thank you for any help.

Absolutely. Use the Install button up-right in your customer portal under the license. It will bring you to a wizard where you can choose to deploy Hosted by 3CX.

Obviously, you need to have paid for the Hosting first.

If I do "Add System" in the upper right, I select "Hosted by 3CX", then "Over 10 Users", it asks me for an FQDN but I can never give it a license key and it deploys and instance and generates a license key for me. I want to use a license key that I purchased from my 3CX reseller.

Is there a way I can import the license key that I purchased from my 3CX reseller into my portal directly?

The reseller needs to assign the key to your customer account by transfering it from their partner portal.

Once that's done, it will show up in your portal and you'll be able to click Install on it.

Add System is to create new licenses or StartUP instances.

Thank you. I figured that must be the solution after reading your first reply. I appreciate the help!
