Hi,

We have a 3CX VM in Azure connected to our MPLS over Expressroute, when i come to provision the phone (Yealink T48S) using the "Phone Locality: Other Subnet as PBX"

I have setup the phone in 3CX and Provisioned in the Phone UI but nothing happens?

Can this be done over ExpressRoute?

Regards

Matt

Hi,

As long as express route has multicast, not an azure expert though

Multicast is only needed for PnP provisioning, for other provisioning methods it's not required.

@Matthew_Harrison When you say provisioned in the phone UI, are you saying you are manually provisioning the phone by pasting the provisioning URL in the phone? When you say nothing happens, please confirm as there are technically two steps. One is provisioning which is the process of downloading the configuration from the server to the phone, and the second step is registration which is the phone being able to connect via SIP to 3CX. Different protocols and process. The easiest test is to put a computer in the same location as the phone and confirm you can reach the 3CX admin console.

Hi,

Yes i am provisioning the phone manually by using the provisioning URL.

When i say nothing happens it is the first part, the process of downloading the configuration from the server to the phone, it doesn't even get to the second part.

I am using Yealink T48S phones, when i start the provisioning it starts then says completed but nothing happens after that.

I can also access the 3CX admin console at the same location as the phone.

Also the provision URL is using port 5000 and the admin console is using port 5001.

Can you send a screen shot of the provisioning tab of the extension on the system and a screen of the provisioning page on the yealink?

Did you get this working? Thanks

Occasionally see this with yealink phones. My suggestion is ensure the phone has the currently supported 3cx firmware loaded, and perform a factory reboot of the phone and then reprovision. That usually solves it.
