Long story short, you can sort of manually provision them, however with 2 identical units, you can make a single call from the call box, and get it answered, however the caller cannot trigger the door, it never opens, but if you use the doorbird mobile app, the door does open, so it is wired properly, but even then, once the first SIP call has completed and hung up, the DoorBirds freeze and go offline, never to return until you power cycle them, spent several days mucking with them and i know SIP quite well. The firmware seems to be their Achilles heel do not waste your time on them, we did, and we would like it back.

Just for sake of headache, I'd never buy anything which is not on this list: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/ if it is to be installed with 3CX.

Major brand would probably be OK if they follow all SIP RFC, but if you take something slightly exotic, you're screwed if it does not work. Unless if you put an Asterisk in between and can/want to control the SIP Messages in a deeper level..

As with almost any purchase, be sure there is a good return policy, in this case, on anything not 3CX approved, and/or that you are not already familiar with. Most SIP (standard) devices can be configured to work, to an extent, with 3CX, but unfortunately some have their own "quirks" that prevent them from "playing well with others". Hopefully forum members considering the same equipment, come across your post before it is too late
