Purchased prorata v20 pro self hosted upgrade from 4SC to 8SC - Dashboard still on 4SC?

Hi,



I might be missing something obvious....how do I get my 3CX self hosted installed to recognize the 8SC licence that was increased from 4SC?



The licence key on the 3CX portal is the same.



I do hope it is not a backup and re-install job?

We are running 20.0.5.551 - does the licence only work with the latest version update?

There we go, upgrading versions worked and the license upgrade is now recognised.

The license holder email should have received an email "3CX | IMPORTANT: Update your 3CX PBX by 3rd October, 2025" on or around July 2.

"The current 3CX.COM certificate is set to expire in October 2025. This email is to inform you of a required upgrade for your PBX system. The upgrade is necessary for your system to contact our activation servers successfully and to ensure uninterrupted service.

What You Need to Do​

• If you're running version 20.0.5.551 or below, you must upgrade to Update 6 Final (20.0.6.724) before Friday, October 3, 2025.
• The new certificate is already embedded into Update 6 and once you’ve upgraded, no further action is needed.
