Hello,

Just being new in 3cx and we are having the need of close the customer care line (basically the main line that the customers call) but not shutting down the entire server (that is not a good solution) I have been looking and find 2 ways to do it:
1) Changing the office hours to nothing, so it will be like the office is closed all the time, but I don't really know how to change the message in this case to be different than the normal out of hours message (not sure if the out of hours message can be changed really)
2) Activating a "holiday" for the time they need the call center closed? In this case I can see that you can personalise the message.

Which one is best? Or is there any other way to do this like very quickly (they usually just tell me to close 3cx and they want it off right away)

Thanks!!

Hi @Matthew Connelly,

You're wanting the queue calls to stop at a specific time?

Update: Better yet, you can set this up using the Inbound rule options. Create an Inbound rule for your DID, and use the option to "Set Up Specific Office Hours for this rule"

Hello,

No, what we need is something not scheduled, for instance, they can tell me to stop the calls for a day or 2 days, with no previous warning or schedule. So will need to do something manually and then go back to "normal" when they tell me to do it.

Thanks

Hi @Matthew Connelly,

You could set up a dummy extension - which the DID routes to, and for different statuses, the routing would be different. The dummy extension would never log in - but each status can have the external call option set to route differently. For example, DID points to 105 dummy extensions which if available, routes to the queue and if away, routes to another queue or wherever you see fit.

You can then control these non-scheduled events by controlling the status of the dummy extension.
