If a client has multiple locations and and they would like to dial an extension from location A and page over all the desk phones and overhead speakers all at one time at location B, would this be possible.
The locations can range from 20-200 phones.
The overhead would use a SIP gateway that ties into their analog controller.
If so, are there any caveats of doing so?

The only caveat would be you don't want to do direct SIP paging for more than 20 extensions, you'd want to do multicast paging. So preferably you'd need a paging device that can do multicast paging at each location. Something like a Snom PA-1 or a Cyberdata Paging server.

Thank you. I guess I was trying to figure out if there could be a single extension that could do a multicast page to all of the phones at a specific office and also include their overhead paging at that location (Using a Snom PA- or Cyberdata).

Cyberdata devices can receive a sip page and send it out on the local network as a multicast page to the phones. You will likely have to use custom templates on the phones for this.

Both the Snom PA-1 and the Cyberdata devices (as well as most other similar type devices) are designed to be setup as a SIP endpoint so yes you can setup a single extension to page a location.
