Raspberry Pi Local Install - stuck on Connecting

Hey All,

This might be a really stupid question but should I be able to make internal calls without configuring anything on my firewall? I just installed 3CX on a RPi, and when I installed and configured the app on my mobile phone (Note 9) via the QR code, it's just stuck with connecting...on the upper right. When I go to the options on the upper left I see my extension, name and my FQDN and its showing green.(also tried it on a few other mobile phones with no luck.) But can't make any calls on the inside of my local network. I only need to make internal calls within the Local Network extension to extension.

Any help would be appreciated.

The extensions are showing as registered? If you don't configure your router ports, there is a good chance that some may not be able to get through. Are the Apps trying to connect, using the FQDN on your LAN? They may be doing a hairpin, back through your router, and cannot get through on port 5090 used by the tunnel.

The 3CX Activity log may give you an Idea of what is happening.

If I go to Extensions I see them but they are all showing in red. The apps shows my ext, and under that the FQDN. If I go to manage account I see My local IP of the 3CX server under the 'Local PBX' and then the FQDN for 'external PBX'

...and is your extension, connected to the same LAN (locall Wifi, not 3/4G), and does it appear to be attempting to contact the 3CX server using the local IP, not the FQDN?

Does the Activity Log show any registration attempts?

Sorry for the delayed response.. Yes the extension is on the same wifi. I even went as far as putting myself in airplane mode and re-enabling wifi on my phone to isolate from the mobile network.

As for the activity log, oddly enough this is the only thing that shows up. If I go to the logs | Global section and download the 3CX log I get: CM not found on 127.0.0.1:5482

Yes and no - really depends on what your firewall is doing and how your network is set up

Stuck on connecting = the phone cant reach your PBX on port 5090 (the default tunnel port), but can probably reach the HTTPS port. This is not enough to get calls working.

Did you install your Pi PBX based on this guide? If not then it may be wise to start from scratch to ensure the prerequisites are all met.

Have you got "Block remote tunnel connections" enabled for your extension?
