Rate sheets - lowest call routing

I am looking at 3CX as a solution.

I appreciate the various aspects fo the software and it seems to be a good fit.

In order to keep our costs down, one fo the features we want to be able to use are rate sheets.

We would like to be able to have more than one trunk and have the software determine whcih is the lowest cost way t make a particular call.

Being North American based, most of our calls are the th eUSA and Canada. With the rate sheets made available by our trunk, there are thousands of prices for various US and Canadian phone numbers.

Writing outbound rules for this doe snot seem practical.

I just want the server compare costs and choose the best one.

I do not need this for billing purposes.

This would typically be handled by a softswitch or SBC, not by the PBX itself.

Just so I have an idea of how it works how could this be accomplished? Can you give me an example of what tools might work in this situation?

It's pretty much google SBC or soft switch and then look at the feature set. You could probably accomplish the same thing with an Asterisk or FreeSwitch box in front of 3CX.
