I had to clean up the "firmware" and "firmware_new" folders on our on-premise install before moving to hosted because it create too large of a backup file.

I read everywhere that 3CX should download the "missing" firmware automatically every 2 hours but it doesn't seem to have done so after 14 hours.

Trying to update a phone (Yealink T58 in this case) returns:
Code:
Error 500: Could not find file '/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/0kgcgi213oc32do/firmware_new/yealink/T5XA-58.86.0.39.rom'.

Any way of "forcing" 3CX to re-download firmwares on hosted?

Thanks!

Why was this moved to "on-premise". It is specifically for a "hosted" situation?

Have you restarted the system/services since moving to a hosted environment?

Another idea, (maybe not a good one) is to download "Yealink T58 58.86.0.39" .rom firmware from https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares and place it in the directory it is requesting /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/0kgcgi213oc32do/firmware_new/yealink/T5XA-58.86.0.39.rom

Direct download for the firmware: https://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/v180/templates/firmwareupdates/yealink/T5XA-58.86.0.39.rom

Also, does firmware_new/firmwares.json exist and show the correct list of the firmware you want to download?

Hey Nathan, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, none of this is possible on Hosted by 3CX. The closest I can come to a "reboot" is to restart all services...

Again, I don't understand why a mod moved this post here as it's definitely an issue with Hosted by 3CX.

Not sure why the post was moved to the self-hosted section. But if you have deleted the firmware, the JSON file will still exist, so if you downloaded the required firmware before clearing and removing it, there is no way to re-download it from the updates section. Suggest downloading the firmware from our firmware page and manually updating the phones through the phone UI.

Phone firmware can be found here: https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/

Thank you for your response Charles.

Could you please elaborate on "there is no way to re-download it from the updates sections"? Are you saying that this instance is screwed up forever (in regards to firmware provisioning/upgarde)?

It will not be possible re-download the current firmware that has already been downloaded and deleted. Future updated firmware releases will be fine.

Ah ok, sounds good. Thank you again for your help!
