Hi,

When the SIP Trunk option "Re-INVITE" is enabled, callers to an IVR get first played the configured prompt and when the "no input" time passes, the call will get "Rerouted", instead that the call do the configured action (forwared to Call group) in the IVR option.
Additionally the caller hear "Please hold the line........." and a different audio prompt (normal MoH audio?) in the background

Why does the call not do the configured action within IVR and why is the audio "Please hold the line........." get played?

Regards

The 'Supports Re-invite' option in the SIP trunk changes the behavior of the PBX when external calls are placed on hold (including IVR's). It is suggested for the option to be disabled as it has been identified to cause numerous issues.

Thank you for the information.
Is this a specific 3CX problem, or a general SIP Trunk problem with all PBX?

@comfident

This is not to be considered a 3CX problem. When Re-invites are enabled, the PBX will send an INVITE with 'sendonly' to the SIP provider which means that the call initial call leg between the provider and the PBX is placed on hold. The way the sendonly value is handled is up to each provider.

Thank you for clarifying this.
