Reaching receptionist when dialing 0

Hello everyone,

I would like to make the receptionist (extension 600) reachable by dialing 0 instead dialing 600 from any extensions. Is there any way to do that ? Do i need to make a outbound rules to make it works ?

Hi @groupe10

The easiest way to do this is by adding a SIP ID to extension 600. Just open the extensions settings and navigate to the Options tab. Scroll down to the SIP ID field and add "0" as the extensions SIP ID.
Press OK to save your changes.

Then navigate to systems Settings / Network and open the FQDN tab. Enable the option "Allow calls from/to external SIP URIs". Press OK to save your settings.

Now if any internal extension dials "0" they will connect to extension 600.

Disclaimer: The SIP ID option was not really designed for this and enabling the option "Allow calls from/to external SIP URIs" opens the possibility for direct calls from the outside as well.
