record all 911 emergency calls regardless of license

feature request for 3cx.

would it be possible to get the ability to record all calls placed to emergency numbers regardless of license type? this would be a handy feature for some of the smaller schools and scout camps we work with.

You make an interesting point, but for a "small" school or camp your consulting fee is going to be many, many times greater than the cost of the 3CX software. $150 a year, even for a small school, is going to be a "reasonable" investment to ensure emergency calls are recorded. At some point, 3CX does need to make money, and frankly, the small customers are often the most expensive customers to support.

We donate most of our time to the really small ones because they don't bother us very much with trouble tickets. But it would be nice to have an audio recording of just the emergency phone calls because they really don't need to record anything else. Yes I know we could upgrade their license to enable recording but again they don't need it.

that's beside the point. think about it from a broader perspective of ONLY recording 911 calls. right now you have to record every single call which is pointless on most clients. but just having emergency calls recorded would be very valuable.

No one is arguing the value, rather that value comes at a cost which, in this case, is very reasonable.

true, even with the paid license... just recording emergency calls would be a nice option.

Check with your provider. Many providers have recording as an option and may be able to set-up for just 911.
Or you could see if some of the relay e911 services can provide this feature

Can't you just call 911 again and ask them for a copy of the recording?
