Hi,

We have many 3cx instances on AWS which have been all running perfectly. Unfortunately, one of our clients let their license expire, and in expiring to the Free Edition, all their phone recordings are no longer available in the 3cx panel. Is there any way to recover the the old phone recordings off the AWS instance? There are nott available in the 3cx backup, so I'm assuming they were marked as erased, but may still reside on the instance somewhere.

Is there any way to recover these recordings?

Check on the machine via an SSH client such as WinScp or Filezilla under the location: /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Recordings/ (assuming the recording location was the dafualt).

Hi, thank you! I just tried this and see it has recordings all the way back from 2020. Awesome!

Is there any way to find records prior to 2020? (i.e. 2019, 2018, etc). This same instance was running v16 and was upgraded to subsequent versions as they became available. It seems the license expiration may have deleted anything prior to 2020...is there a way to find them or undelete them?

Thank you so much again!

License expiration is not likely to have deleted your recordings, although settings such as removing recordings after a certain number of days if the option was set, would have done.

Ok, understood. Looks like the client is SOL! Thank you so much!
