Remote extensions for 2 locations

I would appreciate if someone could point me to documentation for remote extension dialing. Use case is 2 sites, each with standalone system, each with its own users and extensions. I'd like to give dial key at loc1 to loc2 ext and loc2 dial key for loc1 extensions. Is this doable with 3CX?

I'm assuming that both locations are 3CX PBXs. If so...install a bridge trunk, at each, to connect the two. Not certain as to what you mean about a "dial key", but you can set up outbound rules, in each, to allow dialling of extensions at the other location. It may involve the use of a prefix digit, if the same extension numbers are used at both locations.

"It may involve the use of a prefix digit" - coming from avaya, I'd typically set up prefix on a "dial key" or multi-function key on desk phones, thank you for the info!

Hi,

A 3CX bridge does just that: allows you to use the trunks of the other PBX as well as be able to reach the extensions of the other PBX. Take a look at our guide below:
