Hi,
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere (i did look).
Is it possible to remove spaces in numbers before they are passed to the trunk provider?

eg.

00 44 123 456789
becomes

0044123456789

Thanks

Richard

I just clicked on the first number and my 3cx webclient popped up and the spaces removed already.
I manually put a number with spaces into 3cx Client for Mac and the spaces got truncated along the way as the number in 3cx log shows without spaces.

So, what is sending spaces that is not working?

if a user selects 'forward calls to my mobile' and the number has spaces, then it's passed directly to the SIP provider with the spaces and fails...

Where is it pulling the mobile number from? Is that not manuialy input against the users extension?

yes it's in the user extension settings.... I can change the numbers so they don't contain spaces, but the end users can also update their numbers from the user GUI.

That is an issue indeed - and noticed users have put - or . in there as well...

using regex for CID reformatting would be awesome...?

Just to update on this, in V18 we will be adding some validation in certain fields so that space characters aren't allowed that can 'break' SIP messages.
