Hi All,

I have a phone that i use for testing with 3CX but also other providers, since adding this phone to 3CX, I can't seem to stop it from auto provisioning to 3CX even after removing it from the extension and factory resetting it about 30 times.

I only found this out by getting a packet trace and seeing that it's connecting to the 3CX server's IP.

How do i remove the phone to stop this from happening?

  • 3CX Version, Enterprise Annual 16.0.5.619
  • Server OS, Windows Server VM
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Hosted with 1Cloud - Virtual 1
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware - Yealink T48G
  • Provisioning Method: Stun
Thanks,

Michael

Since the phone was set up using STUN, the Yealink is contacting the Yealink STUN server and it's finding the record for that phone.
Of course if the phone is deleted it cannot find a config file even if it tried. Make sure that the MAC address of the phone is not configured anywhere in the phone system.
The entry will be auto removed from the STUN servers automatically after 14 days.

Hi Yiannish,

Thanks a lot, I'm pretty sure it's not configured anywhere but just in case where could it be configured other than on an extension? Is there another place i can look for it?

Is there no way to force Yealink to remove it from their server from the system?

Either way I can wait for the 14 days but it does affect my ability to use the phone until then...

Thanks for the instant reply!

Michael

If the phone gets a configuration then it should be on an extension. Send me a p.m. with a picture showing the mac address of the phone and i will see if we can do something.
