Many other hosting providers are likely facing the challenge of exploring alternatives following Broadcom's acquisition of VMware and the resulting changes to pricing and licensing policies.
3CX generally runs very well on Proxmox; however, despite supporting KVM, 3CX does not officially recommend or support it because the virtualization platform has not yet been thoroughly tested.
Furthermore, this is not currently planned for the future from 3CX.
Since 3CX already supports KVM, officially supporting Proxmox would certainly be beneficial for both the community and 3CX itself in the long run.
This would give customers and partners the assurance of receiving support from 3CX should the need arise.
Furthermore, Proxmox will play a major role in virtualization in the future..
I'm curious to see if others think the same way.
