Okay, so just my two cents here. We are back on 3CX after 2 years using Asterisk. It feels good, most processes are flawless (even connecting our really old Linksys overhead paging gateway was easy) and we love the inhouse control we have compared to our previous Asterisk-as-a-service-from-another-party, but there are 2 things that are really irritating. Maybe these irritating things are because we are using 3cx hosting - ??
Am I missing something?
- Why is there no dial code to automate a blind transfer? In the Asterisk world, you can customize a BLF with the transfer code so that, during a call, it's one push for the receptionist to transfer a call to a sales queue. It appears that in the 3CX world, the receptionist has to know the queue's extension number and then manually do the Transfer process, something like Transfer-91-Transfer (at least 4 keys to press).
- Why isn't the bulk edit feature better for editing a large batch of IP phones at once? Example - we have all Yealink T46 phones, all users have exactly the same hardware, and we need to change the default ringtone because the default is really obnoxious. I'm finding myself opening up each phone's Phone Provisioning tab just to change ringtones one phone at a time. It's super laborious. Why doesn't the bulk editor include common fields for IP phones? (It does for BLF fields, but not for Provisioning; it doesn't expose the IP phone at all on the Provisioning tab; just the 3CX app).
