Reuse Extension Number when syncing users

Hi Guys,

I have a customer who has gone through over 20 users over the last year. We have M365 integration for single sign-on and everything works fine. The issue is they started from extension 701 with 60 users. But have gone through 20 staff in the last year. The extension numbers increment automatically when a new user is added. Now we have a lot of missing extensions for the users who have been deleted. Is there a way to use the missing exertions first before incrementing the extension number when a new extension is added?

yes, that option is currently configured. However, if I have it unchecked, it starts the Extension form 100 and onwards

Currently, the option is set to start from 701. do I need to select another number and start from there?

This depends from which number you want to start the new extensions.

Ok, So I tried this. Disable the option to "Set Extension number from" and save the setting. Then enable the setting again and set the option to set extension from 701. The extension that was created picked the first number that was available from 701 onwards. This means that every 6 months or so I need to disable and re-enable the option so the extension starts from the beginning.

Since the extensions are changing constantly then you need to check the configuration in a period timeframe and adjust accordingly.
