Hello,

We use Snom M900 antennas with M70 phones and use the alarm buttons for agression alarm.

At the alarm button press the phone dials with a seperate SIP line a ring all group that calls the members of that group.
The seperate SIP line is needed to be able to assign a different ring tone by adding the alarm lines to the local dect's phonebook.

Sometimes people claim that they didn't receive the call.

In 3CX I can see

08/15/2021 7:19:02 AM - [CM503003]: Call(C:34603): Call to <sip:[email protected]:0> has failed; Cause: 487 Request Terminated/INVITE from 192.168.10.186:5060

which is normal behaviour as they are not allowed to pick up or it will break the ring all functionality.

When you have a 8 simultanious call license does this also count ringing?

Does a ring group with 4 members use 4 licenses or is it only counting 1 if someone would pick up and the ring all ends?

I never get a mail that the license limit was reached/breached tho.

Hi @GVB,

Yes, a ringing call counts as 1SC in use. It is 1 call coming into the PBX.

Does a ring group with 4 members use 4 licenses or is it only counting 1 if someone would pick up and the ring all ends?
No, this still counts as 1SC even with a Ring All strategy.

What you're seeing here is a response to a cancel. Most likely when a call is initiated, but not answered and the caller hangs up and the call is cancelled before reaching voicemail.

it's calling for 20 seconds and then it probably is doing the cancel you write about.

but I have the intention that it tries again until someone picks up but that is probably done in the dect that starts the alarm.

Hi @GVB,

Check the Ring Time (Seconds), is it set to 20? You can set this to 40 seconds as a maximum.

Bear in mind that a Queue would best fit your scenario, as it is designed specifically for this, as a customer facing feature, whereas a Ring Group is best used internally.

yes, it's just internal.

when they press the button someone is very agressive toward a supervisor so other supervisors need to be alarmed so that they can come and help as fast as possible.

time can be critical

Hi @GVB,

By the sounds of it. it should work correctly. I'd make sure that the Ring Strategy is set to Ring All, then all members should receive it.

If you're worried about the other supervisors missing the call as they're on a call already, you could look at using emergency numbers (and assign a false number instead of a real one) to send them a message. I did this by creating a bogus SIP Trunk that won't register, then assigning the Emergency Number route to that trunk and having notifications sent to Extention's group managers:

I set the extensions themselves as managers and they receive a chat notification saying "EMERGENCY". It's another options if you'd like it.

@VasilisV_3CX From we can enable this option?
Is this only enable in V18?

Hi @Rashid Raza,

This option is in both V16 and V18, you can find Emergency numbers under Settings >> General, then scroll to the bottom.
