Anyone ever migrate from Ring Central phones to 3CX? I can't seem to change the firmware on the phones. I keep getting Firmware Failed! Software Limit. I can normally fumble my way through problems phones but this one has me stumped.

Do you apply the firmware manually or from the PBX?
What is the current firmware version?

I turned in a ticket with Yealink and they got back to me. I am going to post the steps here in case anyone else runs into this.
1. Upgrade to Ring Central version 96.86.25.7 - They attached the file because I don't think its public
2. Install 3CX firmware 96.86.0.81 (V18 because the V20 will fail)
3. Connect phone to user extension in 3CX.
4. Upgrade the firmware from the console. It will fail to update manually to the phone for some reason and you have to do it from the 3CX console.

Manually from the phone web interface. It was version 96.86.25.3 (Ring Central)

This is something that has to be clarified with Yealink as it might require an intermediate firmware to allow you to proceed.

The third digit should be zero otherwise it usually implies some custom solution, different from the main Yealink firmware.

In your case XX.XX.25.XX so the correct course of action was indeed to contact Yealink.

The latest 3CX-certified version at the current moment, was meant to be installed as an upgrade via your server, unfortunately it cannot be installed via the web UI of the phone because of some restrictions from Yealink.

If anyone has this issue, I suggest manually installing this version here from 3CX, and then upgrading to the latest via your PBX.

And if you are reading this in the future, it may not apply to you, so contact Yealink and they can provide you with the necessary files that allow you to upgrade from whatever your specific version is, all the way up to the latest 3CX supported version.
