3CX version: Standard Annual 16.0 Update 6 (Build 655)
Server OS: Raspberry Pi

Provisioning Method: Local
Trunk Provider: voip.ms
Firewall Checker: Yes
Custom Phone Templates: No

I have a ring group setup, but only 1 extension will ring. It is a soft phone and is not listed in the ring group. I have tried deleting and re-creating the ring group with the same results. I have also check that the DID is not enabled on the soft phone and is only enabled on the ring group. If I dial the ring group extension directly, then all phones ring. Am I misssing something about the ring groups work. I would like all phones except the soft phones to ring when the inbound voip number is called. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Robert McMahan

Check the activity log for the format as the ddI number being presented to 3cx , it sounds it is using your default sip routing and not the DDI

You may have to adjust your DDI setting , to the correct format.

Note you can use * in the DDI number - for example your ddI number is 987654321 , enter *654321

More info here https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/

Check the 3CX Activity Log to see why the calls are going where they are.

If you dial the ring group number, from another extension, does it ring all members?

If the originator, for the ring group, is normally a DID, then be certain that the DID number being sent matches the DID rule you created, exactly (or make use of wildcards). Otherwise it will use a ""default" route.
