Ringing a phone in away status

We have been using 3cx version 14 sp3 with yealink T22, T26 and dect phones and when the extension was set to away the rule states ring a ring group which the phone is in and it use to ring that extension because I assume it was part of a ring group that rings everybody in the team if the phone is set to away.

I have now upgraded to version 15.5 sp 6 and what seems to happen is that it rings everybody in the ring group apart from the phone that is away.

Is this a change in version 15.5 as we would like the phone to ring as well because sometimes the user forgets to change from away to available status.

Or do I have to create another custom status that will allow this to happen.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi David,

Under each extension, in the forwarding rules section, you can select the Away status, and then tick " Accept calls from Ring Groups"

This should allow the extension to receive ring group calls even when Away
