Ringtone always at max

On my Samsung Galaxy S8, the Ringtone of the 3CX-App is always at max loudness.
It is not possible to control the loudness by any of the available loudness-slider (system, media, notifications, ...)
It is also not possible to mute the ringtone once, by pressing a loudness button.
Showing the notifications by sliding from the top will mute the ringtone.

The Telecom-API is off (Changing to on doesn't make a difference)

I can confirm, that the volume is correct, when selecting a custom ringtone in 3cx-app.
When I use the system default, it is always at max.

Just to confirm I understand this, if you select options "3CX built-in" or "Custom", the volume slider correctly adjusts the ringer volume.

If you select the "System default" option, then the volume sliders do not adjust the volume and it always plays at full volume?

Yes, this is what I have observed.
But, I have now retested with system default, and the loudness is now correct.
So, changing the settings seems to have solved this issue.

But still having the issue that the ringtone is not mutable.

I just tried an SM-G950F that I found from a colleague to try this myself.

When you are receiving an incoming call and the 3CX App is not in the foreground and you only see the Notification Banner at the top of the screen, pressing the "Volume Down" button adjust the ringtone volume.

To "silence" the ringtone, what you need to do is tap on the Notification Banner to bring the 3CX App to the foreground, then press the "Volume Down" button.

Can you give this a try?

This will work, but is not what is expected.

When the mobile is ringing, pressing the loudness button should always mute the ringtone.
This works while the mobile is locked and also when the 3cx-app is in foreground.
But by now, it is not working if the app is in background.
This was working on older releases.

OK, in that case, can you try to check if the "Car/Bluetooth support (Telecom API)" option is enabled, and if not enable it, then try again?

I suggest testing just for the sake of seeing if this works with this option enabled.

If it does with the Telecom API enabled, then this might be a limitation of this specific device as some functionality that ties to this option causes the one-way audio, in which case we not be able to do a lot.

I have spoken with our R&D Department concerning this issue.
We will not be adjusting the behavior of the app for phones running anything older than Android 10/11.

The main reason is that the implementation for most manufacturers has changed in newer Android versions, so we will be focusing our attention on those.

For this specific device, the only thing I can suggest is that you advise the users that if they want to silence the call, they first tap on the notification banner to bring the app to the foreground, then use the "Volume Down" key to silence it.
