Hi all,

I have a 3CX SMB system with a Fanvil x4U-V2 as the SBC Router phone. I had just ordered a SIP & DDI from a reseller but found when they sent it through this morning, was provided by Gamma, which isn't unsupported on SMB. So we have had to cancel that order.

Am I in the meantime now contacting the supported companies listed on your help pages.

However, my router phone has just suddenly come up with 'SIP Register Failed' on the screen and I can no longer dial internally from the handsets I have. I think cancelling the Gamma SIP trunks have has an impact on my router phone somehow.

What can I do to get the Router phone back up and working? I have rebooted (turned on and off) but it has come back the same.

Thanks in advance,

Terri

Open up the phones page on your extension and close it again. should send an RPS request.
Factory reset the phone by pressing and holding OK then it should set up again.

Hi Terri,

Hold the OK button on the phone until you see the popup to Factory Reset.

Confirm the prompt, and allow the phone to go through the reset.

Once it's done it will the reprovision itself and should come back online.

Its ok if you notice it rebooting a couple of times.

I'm not sure what you mean open the phones page on your extension.

Looks like the Ok reboot sorted it. And also an upgrade has just been released which I think was the real trigger of the failure. Upgraded now. Thank you!

Hi Terri,

Glad to hear, just keep in mind this is not something that should always be done.

It was ok in this specific instance after I verified a couple of things on our end first before instructing you.

Ok, thats good to know John. Thank you!
