Hi all, I am trying to get my 3cx setup up in a complex setup as follows:

  • 3cx is installed on cloud on google (or AWS or any other provider)
  • my sip provider has a gateway device installed at my office premises. The sip registration needs to be routed through that gateway.
How to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Hi All,

I have created an AWS instance and installed 3cx on it. Connected AWS to my on-premise firewall via VPN, so 3cx is able to connect to my SIP provider via on-prem gateway successfully.

Now, my on-premises 3cx softphones are also connecting. Intercom calls are working well. i have some issues as follows:

1. Presence not showing in office LAN. Sometimes it appears and then disappears. Same shows when connected via GSM internet on mobiles.
2. When calling external numbers or receiving calls from external numbers, calls are connecting but there is no audio.

I have opened ports on AWS as mentioned in firewall configurations of 3cx documentation.

Can someone pl help on this.

Regards.

Thanks Eliq91 for the response.

Can you specify what setting did you change in the gateway?
We read somewhere that audio traverses on ports 9000-10999, so we opened those ports in AWS VPC and in on-prem firewall. However, that didn't change anything. So, what setting worked for you?

The local (audio) ports (internal calls) used to start at 7000. Not certain if that is still the case. If using VPN, then calls to the extensions and gateway would be considered local, and may not use 9000 and up. You may need to open additional ports.
