Running Two ISP Set up questions V20

Hi,

I am running an on prem install on linux computer. V20. I have a Fortinet firewall with failover ISP. ISP1 is my fiber and is on 99% of the time. If the firewall sees high latency it will switch to Comcast (coax). I have a static IP with ISP1, with ISP2 it is dynamic.

I have my PBX set to dynamic (since the IP could change).

I am about to renew my license, I was thinking about going with enterprise so I have a 5m reevaluate of my WAN IP vs the 10m with professional.

I noticed on network settings Query STUN is by default set to 600 Sec. Should I change that to a shorter time?

My goal is in a failover situation that everything switches over as quick as possible, and when it goes back to ISP1 after a failover on ISP2 it switches back quickly.

What would you recommend I set the Query STUN time to?

If the Phonesystem is in dynamic mode and inactive then it will do the check as you mentioned, however, it will also do the test every time before you make an external call, so it does check and it keeps up to date.

I have had it as that, and it seems to work fine. I finally had an outage of my fiber that it switched to comcast. It seems that the PBX has changed back to the Main fiber IP, but the sip reg has stayed on my comcast which has been causing issues.

Does anyone know what parameter the PBX uses for sip registration? It would be helpful to know that so i can set up firewall parameters so everything switches over. I believe that the firewall is not switching it over because keep alive packets are being sent and keeping session open. The firewall will look for sessions to close before switching over to the best measured performance internet.

I am using a foritnet firewall by the way if someone has recommendations.
