Safaricom SIP Trunk on 3CX

Hello,

did somebody connected a safaricom sip trunk to the 3cx?
We would like to integrate a SIP Trunk from Kenya to the 3cx pbx. But cant get any information about a template or the sip settings.

I hope somoeone did it and can help us with how to set it up and if there are any known issues.

Hi @sifre

If you cannot get any SIP settings information from the provider then I would recommend finding a different provider. Normally a provider could at least provide you with their basic requirements for setting them up in a PBX.

Hello and thank you for the quick reply. We got in touch with the provider and it is just possible to connect the sip trunk if the pbx is in Kenya.

Some providers do place this restriction to only their own countries IPs or sometimes even to their own internet connection.

You should be able to connect to them using the Generic VoIP Provider template and modifying any of the SIP field mappings accordingly.
