SBC And ESXI

Hello,

Working with a customer right now that hosts 3cx in the Cloud (Voxtelsys) and have about 60 desk phones onprem. Looking to roll out the 3cx SBC to simplify the process of adding more phones. Problem is trying to install the 3cx iso on VMWare ESXI 7 I can not get it to go through regardless of the settings. If I try and let it go via DHCP it hangs on the blue screen with a grey bar at the bottom. If I back out and manually configure the network it will fail with a red screen saying it can fetch the deb config file from 3cx.

Things I have tried:
1. Redownloading the ISO
2. Installed on a Promox server instead, different location (Works fine)
3. Able to manually browse to the txt file it says cant be found.
4. Have tried internal and external DNS in install
5.Set Bios to EFI and regular
6. Used 6.7 compatability
7. both e1000e and vmware nic settings


Im at a loss anyone else have some ideas?

When you choose Guest OS Family and Guest OS Version, what are you selecting?

Linux and debian 10 64bit.

I have also tried Debian 10 32bit debian 11 64bit. I can install a clean ISO of debian. Seems to be only the 3cx sbc ISO on vmware 7. The same iso works perfect on proxmox.

What happens if you use the regular Debian Net Install ISO? Are you using the VM Network as it's LAN or do you have separate networks(LAN,DMZ) or VLANs defined in VMware?

Used the netinstall 10.12 from Debian and the install goes through.

As for the network its on our default untagged vlan. VMware Network.

I did a test install with the 3CX iso on ESXi 7.0 Update 3d and it worked perfectly fine. Maybe try updating the host or rebooting.

Running 7u3g so maybe that is the problem?
