SBC Cannot Uninstall or Update

I had to wipe and start my system over because of an acquisition. Rebuilding went fine, but then I went to uninstall and reinstall the SBC service on my windows border machine and it's got me trapped. If I try to uninstall the existing copy it fails because it can't find the uninstaller. But if I try to use the file from 3cx to reinstall, it tells me that "a newer version of the Session Boarder Controller is already installed on this computer". I was running ver. "3CX SmartSBC 20.0.176", which is also the version of the installer that I have. Does anybody have suggestions on what i need to do to wipe the old version? I have stopped the service deleted all 3cx related files, and taken anything mentioning 3cx out of the registry, I don't know what else to do.

Hi @Yuppyman the 20.0.176 is a beta version available only from the PBX update menu if you already have a sbc deployed.

The version of the official installer is 20.0.100

You may try and use the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter, download it directly from Microsoft's support website.

Run the tool —- uninstall— select the 3cx sbc —- Allow the tool to clear all associated product codes and MSI registry entries.

Reboot the server and then get the 3cx sbc official version and install it.
