SBC or router phone option not available

I need to configure my first phone as a router or SBC phone but I don't have that option

This would indicate the phone you are using does not have the capability to be a router phone.

I checked and it’s in the list

Which phone is it? It needs to be on the correct firmware as well...

It’s a grandstream 2160
But I do need to upgrade the firmware

Not everything in the list is a router phone. Only a select few models from some of the other brands can do this, and we list which ones under their respective guide. Example: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yeal...ter Phones: T53, T53C, T53W, T54W, T57W, T58W

For now just go ahead with a standalone SBC https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/
