We want some SBCs for companies with many phones, but looking at the requirements guide (https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/), I see that certain processors are recommended for 100 connected extensions. The issue is that it says “Up to 100 (10 BLFs per device)”. I’d like to know how the BLF topic affects the SBC. Is it simply a BLF limitation because it’s an SBC? Or, if the extensions only have 3 BLFs, can I connect more phones?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @GGonzalez ,

BLFs by themselves take computing resources (and a little bandwidth) since they need to be polled "live". So in general within the recommended specs a site using less BLFs per device should be able to have more phones per SBC - still you might want to consider more than one SBC even for less devices, to avoid any bottlenecking.

Best,
KS.
