Would a dual core Celeron J4005 or a Intel i3 with 4GB RAM using Debian be more than enough to used as SBC for <15 users?
Raspberry Pi 3B+ is quad core.

When running SBC on Windows, has anyone installed it on a Windows server?
Will there be adverse effect since server can become busy? Does it use a lot of memory and CPU resources?

If you plan on installing the SBC on Windows, then I recommend you go with 8GB of RAM.

However, if you install on Debian, then those specs should be enough. The i3 is way better than a Celeron by the way.

Those using Rasberry PI, does having memory>1GB improve performance or no difference.
Is 32GB enough, if using 32GB, currently how much space do you have left free?
Is Raspberry 4 better than Raspberry Pi 3B+ for 3CX SBC purposes?

From your experience, would Intel i3 be more reliable solution compared to Raspberry?

The Pi 4 is not supported yet so avoid that way.

As for RAM, the Pi is well optimized for that small 1GB. It all comes down to how many phones you need to connect.

25-30 : Pi 3B+
More than 30 : Small Intel PC with 2-4 cores, 4GB of RAM

Oh and yes, 32GB of storage is more than enough. The SBC is a small software. Just disable logging unless necessary to avoid random IO on the SD card.

For now 3CX SBC solution is on PI3B+ PI4 is not 3CX supported even if you can read some post with members already using it.

Never got any problem with PI3B+ based SBC with 32Gb sdcard.

I also used windows SBC version, this can be easier to use for remote access with teamviewer for all stuff to do on local for example GUI phone access, you don't need to ask customer computer use.
On windows of course machine needs to be more powerfull as always with windows.

SBC same as PBX need dedicated computer, but no need to use a server for a SBC

Using 32GB sdcard, how much free space do you have left after running SBC?

12010

As you can see, a lot. And my log is limited to 100MB so it won't take much space.

This is pretty much the space you will always use.

How long has SBC been running on your Raspberry?
From experience, what is the failure rate?

Mine has been running for a month, but I had one on a PC running for months without issues.

I know some others use a lot of Pi so I suppose the failure rate is pretty low. Anyways, now you have monitoring of SBC in 3CX so if one fails, you know quickly enough.

on PI as often in hardware, you need QUALITY in power supply strong enough to power PI in good working conditions .

Now PI is very small cost so if you worry about PI life take one more to have as spare part ready to use.

Best part : swap the SD in the new one and you're good to go! I love the Pi for that.

I am thinking of using the NUC for SBC but if I have to use a NUC, would it make more sense to just do a local 3CX install?

We can't answer this for you, we have no knowledge about your site and what should be the best to do.

Forum don't give us extra lucid power ;) and we are not in your mind :p so think and take decision:)

Which Raspbian version do you install, Full or Lite or Recommended?

Hi Tony,
Why do you ask us to comment any details about what's in 3cx docs?

3CX give us some documentation and supported devices, if you don't trust enough 3CX then take your time alone to test what you want and see if that works as expected.

Please don't ask infinite time same questions . Take time to read documentations most answers to your questions are in.

I was reading the SBC installation rather than the 3CX installation which does not specify.
Raspberry can support 30 phones, Is anyone running that many phones on 3CX in Raspberry?
How many actual simultaneous calls?
