Hi,
After installing a SBC (on Raspberry Pi), is there any way to check the connection between the SBC and the PBX on the PBX console ?
I'm asking this because we are experiencing difficulties provisoning remote phones connected to a new SBC, and suspect the SBC is not correctly connected to the PBX.
We added a new phone in the phone provisioning tab, with it's MAC Address, chose 3CX SBC as provisioning method, added the LAN IP address of the SBC in the 3CX Session Border Controller Address (because the SBC is behind a router), and configured the provisioning link in the phone config.
After restarting the phone, we see on the phone it received some config (for example, the password is no more the default password),, but there is no service, and the phone does not appear in the phones list on the 3CX console.

Thank you !

Hi

you can go to activity logs > Logs > Instance and open the latest 3CX Tunnel log

Do a search for the IP address the SBC is coming from and see if it says something like connection accepted or something like that.

Alternatively, you could use PuTTY to connect to the SBC and then run the following command to check the link status:

Netstat | grep 5090

if the connection is up you should see something like this returned:

Hi @next2

If the SBC connected successfully then resetting a phone will make it appear in the Phones section automatically, and you will only need to select it and click Assign Ext.

If this is not happening the captures will need to be made to see exactly what is going on. Did you follow this guide here? https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/

For basic standard status the command "service 3cxsbc status" will show you if the service is running.

If you are plugging in a phone and it is not provisioning (but appearing) be aware that the provisioning process uses the HTTPS port of the SBC and is not tunnelled like the rest of the traffic - so this could be a port issue.

What phone brand, model and firmware version are you running also ?
