Hey guys, hopefully a simple one here.

I've been running this 3CX instance since V15, same with the remote SBC.

Moving things from V15 to V16 from memory was relatively painless, I just upgraded everything from within the WebUI, even the SBC and all continued to operate fine.

Lately I've noticed an Update avaiable for the SBC to move it from v16.0.386 to v16.0.389 (beta).

When I try updating from the WebUI by going to SIP Trunks > Select SBC > Update:

I get the pop-up saying "Your SBC will be updated to Version 16.0.389 (beta)" along with the disclaimer and Cancel/Proceed buttons.

I click Proceed and then nothing seems to happen. I've tried this multiple times.

I've tried the "Push Config" button also, which does seem to bring down the SBC for a minute or two and do something, so definitely seems there's connectivity to the SBC.

I'm fairly certain I've updated the SBC using this method in the past too.

Any reason why it may not be working in this instance?

I think this is the first time you have been able to update the SBC from the management console. And there is a known bug with updating right now. As it is beta, you may as well just leave it be but if you must update it, you have to do it manually as before.

I don't think I've ever manually updated the SBC, how is this normally done?

The most I ever really do is remote into the SBC terminal and run:

sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

Or something like this.

I noticed the "beta" at the end, I'm not in any rush to update the SBC, my main concern is just that eventually I'd be wanting to keep the SBC up to date by utilizing this update method from the WebUI.

So for the moment should I just sit tight and wait until the next SBC update it released and try updating from the WebUI again?

That would be the manual method :). But yes I believe this is the first iteration of being able to update from the web console so I'd just wait until the SBC release is out of beta.

I confirm, with multiple instances, that I get the same result trying to update sbc from .386 to .389 Must be a glitch? Is there an official confirmation?

Yes, no need to rush. Release version of SBC will install without problems.

Ahh great news, thanks for confirming.

Not in any rush to update the SBC, it has been working well ever since implementation. We just like to try keeping everything up to date for security reasons.

Will wait until the release comes out of beta and then try updating from the console again! :)
