Good Morning:

I have a 3CX hosted instance that is connected to the site using the SBC. The update to v18 went fine. PBX runs great. But when I try to select and update the SBC using the update button under Trunks in the MC, the system provides the warning for downtime and once I click proceed, nothing happens.

I have rebooted the instance and tried periodically over the past two weeks. If this is a known issue, or if someone has a link to the SBC update support documents, I would be most appreciative. I would like to try to avoid a site visit if possible.

3CX Hosted
Professional 4SC
v18 Update 1 Build 237
SBC version 16.2.24

Thanks in advance.

How many time do you wait ? it takes few minute for SBC to be updated.
Is it a debian or windows SBC?
I have given it basically unlimited time to complete before navigating from or refreshing the page. When the SIP Trunks page is refreshed, it still shows the Update is needed. For instance, this morning, I initiated the update at 10:30am. At 11am, I was still not showing as updated. I logged into my partner portal and restarted the instance and re-initiated the SBC Update. It sat on the same page until 3p when I left and as of now, 4:03pm, it still hasn't updated.

The SBC is installed on a Windows Server 2016 Std.

I appreciate your links. Thanks!

Sometimes with Windows SBCs, the uninstall process fails for unknown reasons.
If you attempt to uninstall even from the Control Panel, you may even get the failed message there as well.

While I have yet to run into this myself, what other have reported to work is:
  1. Uninstall with some app like Revo Uninstaller and do a complete cleanup of the app.
  2. Download the new version of the V18 SBC and install it and configure it anew.
Future updates should not have a problem.

Thank you Nick. I will plan an onsite visit and try to manually remove it. This thread can be marked as resolved.
