Hi,

Setup:
3CX 15.5.12663.5
Browser: Chrome Version 67.0.3396.87 (64-Bit)

Issue:
1. Start 3CX Webmeeting with 3CX Client / no Camera attached
2. Let someone join the meeting
3. Share the screen
4. Screen is not visible to others

If we attach a camera everything is fine.
Please suggest how we can have a functional screen sharing feature without using a webcam.

Thank you!

Can you clarify by what you mean with your first point #1. You start 3CX WebMeeting via Chrome on a desktop computer? Or you're starting it via a mobile device?

We use the windows 3CX client to start a webmeeting - a chrome tab opens telling me that a webcam could not be found. Thats fine, I don't have one ;)

Strange, i just gave it a try and what you're telling me works fine.

1) I open WebMeeting in Chrome on a PC with no WebCam
2) I share my screen with an other participant.
3) The other participant can see my screen shared.

Can you describe the symptoms? What exactly happens when you click on the screen sharing button? Does the screen share dialog appear?

I can select between fullscreen and a specific window. After that, the icon turns blue (screen share button) and I see what I share in a small preview pane. I attached a screen shot so you can see what I got...

Quite strange, i'm unable to reproduce this.
If it was related to blocked ports you should normally be getting a warning.

Could you uninstall the 3CX Plugin from the top right of your browser and re-install it? Also try to disable some of your other extensions, close and restart Chrome and see if this helps.

Any news? Any suggestions? We cant use the screen share feature right now :(

Try this:
-On both browsers with the meeting open, Press F12 to open the Google Chrome Console and navigate to the "Console" tab.
-Perform the screen share as you normally would
-Copy paste the contents of the "Console" tab from each browser and PM it to me. Don't attach it here, PM it to me.

Hopefully the logs say something more about why you can't use screen sharing.
