Hi,
I would like to create a second cloud server to reprogram a customer's PBX.
In a month I would like to remove the old PBX, remove the demo license and insert the license it already has, is it possible to do this?

Hi!

Not really because you biggest problem is that the second/new PBX would have a different FQDN that the first/old one.
This means that when you have the second PBX configured and ready, you could replace the key (assuming it's not "Hosted by 3CX"), but the FQDN would remain the same, which I assuming is something you don't want.

I think the best idea would be to:
  1. Make a new installation of 3CX anywhere you want
  2. Configure it with the settings and new configuration the customer wants
  3. Make a full backup without selecting the License Key & FQDN information checkbox.
  4. Choose a timeframe for a small downtime for the customer
  5. Power off the current/old PBX of the customer
  6. Start the installation of the new PBX and select to restore the backup you made in step #3.
  7. When prompted, enter the License Key from the Old installation

Good idea! Thank you!
