Hello together,

sorry for posting the issue in German, but that is the servers language.
Has anybody had this issue when upgrading from 18.0.4.965 to 18.0.5.415?

How can I resolve this?

What happens if you reboot the system and re-run the update? Same error?

If it is the same error, maybe take a look at https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...cx-through-command-prompt.116992/#post-541948

You may have to swap 1804 with 1805 in /etc/apt/sources.list

Let us know what you find!

yes, same error again.

I'm not the best linux admin  I like, that 3CX updates the Debian OS as well and I don't really need to touch it and I always use the GUI updater to update 3CX.Do I only need to change the version from 1804 to 1805 in this list-file and retry afterwards?

Hmm, it should have just worked through the MGMT Console GUI updater...

At this point, I would suggest the easiest fix (without much command-line) is to download a fresh official 3CX ISO and restore a backup file using the option 1."Using a web browser".

I hope this helps.

Just a note, since it's not really apparent...if you enable automatic updates, 3CX updates Debian packages. If you install manual updates, it does not. One option is to disable automatic updates and only enable them when you want an update to install. (and also worth noting, 3CX recommends against installing OS updates manually at the command line so no dependencies are broken)

If you install manual updates, it does not.
You mean, if I install 3CX updates via GUI updater manually, it does not update Debian packages? But if 3CX automatic updates are enabled in the GUI, it will?
Are you sure? I updated 3CX v16 to v18 manually and it involved Debian update as well, or has this been an exception?

Correct. I'm not talking about upgrading Debian itself when upgrading 3CX from 16 to 18. For instance if Debian issues security updates for any packages, the manual update won't install them. I don't have a link handy but there are forum posts from 3CX over the last year or two. I didn't say I agreed with this approach. :)

Is the 18.0.5 ISO able to restore the 18.0.4 backup?
Yes it can do that, but you cannot restore a backup from a later version to an earlier version.
