Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if its possible to record all calls to a queue without evoking recording all external calls at the extension level config?

Unless i'm doing something wrong, i seem to only be able to get queue calls to record if i have the extension setting to record external calls selected as follows.

The big problem with that is the extensions external calls are by default recorded as well.
I cannot give the option to allow users to start / stop recording so queue call recording isn't intentionally shut off.

Am I missing something here?
I would have thought the option to record in the advanced queue settings would over ride the extension level setting for recording no matter what it was set at?

thanks
Matt

You are not missing anything, call recording is set at extension level

Recording settings under queue are different, this when you give the caller an option to opt-out of recordings.

It is my understanding that you can record all calls, or you can only record external calls, but there is no option to selectively only record queue calls.

If you only want to record queue calls, the only option is to programmatically create a service that subscribes to 3CX events using the Call Control API. The service would need to monitor all calls and then selectively turn on recording for only those calls that are queue calls.

Hi,

That is correct. The calls recording happens at the extension level
