Hello, we have 3CX hosted on-site at our premises. License 3CX Enterprise 16 SC.
We are running 3CX v16 on Debian 9. I am planning to upgrade from Debian 9 to 10 and 3CX v16 to v18 this week. I have read the advice guide and plan to do the following:
It all looks straightforward and with those precautions I can restore from backup quite easily if something goes wrong. However I have a question about what happens to the phones connected to our system. We have some Yealink T41s phones, they are using a phone template 121899 which I believe has been customized. I did not configure this template as it was by an outgoing IT engineer, however I understand it was customized for some different button settings. When we upgrade the 3CX server, is there a high possibility that something could go wrong with the phones? Or are we generally OK to proceed, and then I would plan to check the phone firmware and template later.

- Go to Backup and Restore, ensure backup was taken within last 24h.
- Download backup and store on my local machine.
- Take complete image backup of VM.
- Click upgrade from 3CX console.
