Server 2008 x Win 10 Pro

Hello,

I currently have 3cx installed on a Win Server 2008 R2 server.
I would like to make the switch to Windows 10 Pro because I need to use the server for other services.
My question is: Does 3cx work well with Win10Pro? Is there any downside?
The equipment will be the same, I will only change the version of Windows.

No downside at all. Same as Windows Server. 3CX is a standalone software. Doesn't need IIS or any WS roles.

Generally speaking 3CX server works great with Windows 10.

The issues I have seen is that on rare occasions major updates to Windows 10 that apply automatically will need user interaction before completing boot process (and thereby starting 3cx services).

Also try and get your 3CX off Server 2008 R2 as soon as possible. While v15.5 SP6 can run on this (if upgraded from older service pack or v15) it's not recommended or supported.

This I can manage. My fear was that I would lose performance or something. I will put a version of Win 10 and upload the backup to test on a weekend. If I succeed, I'll let it roll.

Yes, we will no longer have support for 2008, and this is one of the reasons I want to switch.

In many of my windows clients i use small Lenovo M72, intel I5,6Go DDR3, 120 Go SSD, 1Gb/s NIC , Windows 10 Pro V1809, added Teamviewer to remote access computer and nothing else.

I bought lots of machine coming from second hand IT broker with no HDD, and put inside new SSD, they run like a charm

I use Professional, 32 channels. I have 2 trunks, one for conventional calls and one for mobile calls. We use webmeeting and have the recordings from the last 30 days. I see it relatively basic.

We are in Brazil, and we use the mobile provider VIVO.

The only downside is the Windows 10 update process, be aware of how it works so it does not force an update and unexpected reboot. You don't have the same control as Windows server by default

You can escape this by setting the hours you want not w10 reboot for example if office hours are 8am to 5pm you can set hours to exclude this time and for reboot to be done at night only.
